Services

One of the final steps bridging your journey from “preRD” to “RD” is completing supervised practice hours. Getting into a program can seem intimidating, but in reality- it doesn’t have to be. If you are looking for assistance with your resume, personal statement, or application in general, the preRD team is eager to help. We strive to keep our prices as low as possible to give as many students access to these services as possible.

Personal Statement Review

Sign up for a time slot and email your personal statement to [email protected] at least 1 week prior to the chosen time slot. We will review your personal statement and provide up to 60 minutes of detailed, line-by-line edits through Google Docs by the date of your chosing. Time will be kept via stop watch and timestamps on Google Docs. We will email your personal statement back to you for review. Edits will include content, grammar, and formatting. We will work closely together to make your personal statement something you feel confident in and proud of. If you are still wanting extra assistance, you can sign up for additional edits or a Zoom meeting to address your concerns.

Personal Statement Review Follow-Up

This is for students who have already undergone personal statement review. After making any changes to your personal statement, sign up for an additional 30 minutes (or 2, or 3 ☺) of editing where we will continue working together to make your personal statement the best that it can be. If you are interested in setting up a follow up meeting via Zoom, please send an email to [email protected].

Resume Review

Application Review

Application review is the complete package. We will go over your resume, personal statement, and complete DICAS (or other program) application. Sign up for a time slot and email your personal statement and resume to [email protected] at least 1 week prior to the chosen time slot. We will review your personal statement, resume, and application and provide up to 2.5 hours of detailed, line-by-line edits through Google Docs and your application portal by the date of your chosing. Time will be kept via stop watch and timestamps on Google Docs. We will email your personal statement and resume back to you for review. Edits will include content, grammar, and formatting. We will work closely together to make your personal statement something you feel confident in and proud of. If you are still wanting extra assistance, you can sign up for additional edits or a Zoom meeting to address your concerns.

About Penina Langer

Penina Langer is registered dietitian and the founder of preRD.org. Penina graduated from Queens College with a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Computer Science minor.
After completing her Dietetic Internship with Queens College, Penina accepted a job at BronxCare Health System as a clinical dietitian and is also pursuing her Masters in Clinical Nutrition.
Penina created preRD as she is passionate about helping students transition from "preRD" to "RD" :)

About Dena Don

Dena Don is a registered dietitian, recipe developer, freelance writer and proofreader for students and professionals. Her work has appeared in various blogs and local newspapers. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Dietetics and a B.A. in Journalism, Dena completed her dietetic internship with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.
